Antonio Isasi Isasmendi |
|
Born in Madrid, on the 22nd of March 1927, he began working in the film industry as a set-builder,screenwriter, producer, and director. Through his own production company he has achieved international audiences through co-productions such as, Scaramouche, of Italian and French production, That Man in Istambul a French, German, and Italian co-production, They Came to Rob Las Vegas of German, Italian, French and U.S.A. Production, The Summertime Killer of French and Italian co-production. His movies are distributed world-wide through Warner Bros., Columbia, Embassy etc...
Later, he produced Scent of a Crime, based on a literature award winning novel at national level, written by Juan Benet.
Well-known actors such as, Lee J. Cobb, Elke Summer, Karl Malden, Raf Vallone, Jack Palance, Olivia Hussey, Gerard Barray, Horst Buchoolz, Lea Masari, Klaus Kinski, Fernando Rey, Francisco Rabal, to name a few have worked under his direction.
A member of various International Jury Commitees present in Berlin, San Sebastian, Malaga, Lorca, etc...
Amongst numerous awards to commemorate his work he has received five as Best Director of the Year, three for Best Movie, four for Screenwriting, five San Jorge de la Critica of Barcelona (Critic Awards)...Ultimately, in the year 2000, the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Spain gave him the Goya Honor Award for his life-time achievements in the world of film. |

He has also worked with talents such as Stanley Kubrick, Dario Argento, and Karel Reisz. |

Another exciting addition to our jury, Timothy has been Chairman of BAFTA - The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Managing Director of Allied Stars (financing Chariots of Fire and Breaking Glass), Administrator and a Governor of the National Film and Television School and of the Royal National Theatre, Vice-Chairman (Film) of PACT - The Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (representing over 1,000 independent film and television producers in the United Kingdom).
Timothy Burrill was Managing Director of Pathé Productions in London, one of the three companies that won an Arts Council of England National Lottery Franchise. He was on the Board of the British Film Commission and is an Honorary Advisor to the Script Factory and represented the United Kingdom at F.I.A.P.F.
Timothy now lives in London and in the Vaucluse in France. |

Elfie A. Donelly is an acclaimed childrens author and screenwriter as well as a member of the German Film Academy. Winner of the prestigious Grimme Award for best sceenplay and the German Award for Youth literature over 60 million copies of her works have been sold and she has been translated into 13 languages.
This summer shooting will start on two movies whose screenplays she wrote together with her husband and working partner Paul Arató. "The little Medicus" directed by Peter Claridge and "Emma Panther", directed by Lars Buechel. Both Elfie and Paul are members of our feature film jury. |
