John Hurt: Nominated for the Oscar for his work on The Elephant Man (1980) with David Lynch and
as best supporting actor for his part in Midnight Express (1978). Hurt has worked in over 80
films including such box office wonders such as Alien, the 8th passenger (1979) with
Ridley Scott, and of course his stunning interpretation of Quentin Crisp in the
television film The Naked Civil Servant.
Terry Gilliam: Part of the wonderful Monty Pythons Flying Circus which took Britain and the rest of the world by storm in the late 60's Gilliam was the twisted mind behind the strange cartoons - his career has been marked by his predeliction for the weird and wonderful and includes titles such as The adventures of Baron Munchausen, Time Bandits, Brazil, Twelve Monkeys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Brothers Grimm and his latest opus Tideland.
Sir Alan Parker: Sir Alan's career began in 1975 with Bugsy Malone which won 8 awards. 1978 saw him take 2 Oscars with Midnight Express and 6 Golden Globes. Two more Oscars came with Fame in 1980, and 6 more Golden Globes then followed The Wall with Pink Floyd, Birdy with Nicholas Cage, Mississippi Burning with Gene Hackman and numerous other movies until his last film in 2003 with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet, The Life of David Gale. Sir Alan is currently preparing another film.
